Candidates from August 2026 menus
Jumpshot packages
Duke Cup, Damian Douglas, and Trevor Newman are the package names listed in the August 2026 guides below. Compare a readable release cue and your build’s badge requirements; the reviewed sources do not publish measured make percentages.
| Package | What the notes say | Sources |
|---|---|---|
| Duke Cup | Faster. Pairs with Gold Quick Draw. | 2 independent sources · BloxRant and fan wiki |
| Damian Douglas | Higher arc. Asks more of your three-point rating. | 1 source · fan wiki |
| Trevor Newman | Used on the Diesel center template. | ST3 meta note, 1 source |
What a package actually changes
The package changes where the peak of a held shot sits, and how readable that peak is when a contest is in your face. Quick Draw, the badge, decides whether you can rise right after a catch. A fast base with no Quick Draw still feels late on a closeout. A pretty base on a 25 three-point build will not save the shot.
A 15-minute test
- Equip one package.
- Shoot 20 standstills: wings and corners.
- Shoot 5 pull-ups off one dribble from each wing.
- Write down whether you could see the peak, not whether it went in.
- Repeat with the second package. Keep the one whose peak you can see tired.
Height bands in the guide, which is a single source: high-three guards want a fast readable peak, wings want both catch-and-shoot and a dribble pull-up, and stretch bigs want a slower higher release. I am marking that banding as one source. Menu names are from August 2026. A full-release rename is possible, and one guide still listed these names when I checked the pages on 2 Nov 2026. These are dated August menu names.
FAQ
What is the best jumpshot?
No percentage exists. Test Duke Cup against Damian Douglas with the drill above. Bigs in the Diesel note use Trevor Newman.
Does Quick Draw matter?
Yes, for catch-and-shoot timing. The package sets the peak. The badge sets how soon you can start it.
Which release version do these names come from?
The package names and role notes come from August 2026 ST3-era guides; they are dated candidates rather than a measured November ranking.
