First session, before a fancy build

A getting-started guide written during the test window still has a useful order, and I am using the order, not its outdated “still in stress test” line. Watch how teammates space the floor. Move without the ball. Pass with 1, 2, 3, and 4 until that feels automatic. Then hold E to shoot, and tap E once so you know what a fake looks like. Only after that should you lock a build. I am not numbering quest rewards, because no public source names the tutorial payouts.

Modes that have a source

The release trailer names Ranked Rec and Blacktop matchmaking. A park-modes guide names Park, Plaza, Public Gym, and Private Gym. Written guides describe 1v1, and a Stress Test 3 meta note says “win 3v3 and 5v5.” I am not adding 2v2, because nothing I read describes it. Plaza is also where New Threads (clothes) and Too Good To Dye (hair, facial hair, shoe color) live. Those shops change looks, not attributes.

Shooting is manual

Hold E and let go inside the window. TheSpike writes that there is no assisted shooting. A guide says there is no passive green aid you get for free. If the meter feels late, check frame rate before you blame the jumpshot package. Dropped frames on a hold-to-release shot read as a late release.

Mascot searches and “noses” do not match a documented item. As of 2 Nov 2026 I found no public page that describes a mascot system or a nose guard. The appearance that is documented is the Plaza shops above.
